Denis Donoghue
Head Coach
Denis has been involved in gymnastics as a gymnast with Portlaoise Gymnastics Club since he was 7 years of age. He qualified as a club coach and judge when he was 18 and as an International Brevet Judge at the age of 23.
He is also the Men’s Judging Coordinator with Gymnastics Ireland and is responsible for the qualification and training of all Men’s judges in Ireland.
Denis has judged 3 Olympic Games, 7 World Championships, 9 European Championships and 15 World Cup competitions. He was selected by F.I.G (Federation of International Gymnastics ) to judge at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as a Reference Judge.
